I'm a single lady who's been married twice; widowed once (age 22), divorced once (age 45). I'm hoping there may yet be a third time - and he'll outlast me this time! But if not -that's fine too.
I'm a lady 'of a certain age' - which strikes me as a really stupid saying as we're all 'a certain' age. It seems however, to the wider world, it's significant I've got more years behind me than I've probably got ahead of me. I'm not entirely convinced as I intend to live to be very, very old but I'm determined to make the most of them however many I get on this earth (what happens after this is the biggest adventure but I'll have to wait for that until I'm summoned.......)
I like to choose to think maturity means I've still got my looks (more or less..) but I now have enough experience (and sense) to know my looks aren't what is important - they're just the packaging!
I laugh (a lot) - more at myself than at others and hopefully more at my own mistakes than at others. Like everyone I also have the occasional cry.
I love good food
I enjoy being with friends and family
I've re-discovered my love of writing and intend to indulge that passion as much as I can
I love playing my trumpet and flugel- all sorts of music from jazz to classical, big band to worship band.
I love performing - music, chat, humourus musings (well, they make me laugh anyway)
I love dancing - especialy proper partner dancing - modern jive, blues, lindy, salsa. Any excuse to get upfront and personal with some fit, agile young man (hey, a single girl's gotta get her fun somehow!)
I like to be busy (euphamism for I love taking time over all the things I like and everything else gets done in a mad panic....)
I just.....................love life
More than anything though, I love using all the above to share with others how fullfilling life can be; whatever our circumstances, whether we are happy or facing sadness and difficulties, whether rich or poor , married, in a relationship or single.
Whatever our particular story is, life is so much richer if we are living it hand in hand with the one who created us, who loves us more than any other and who gave his son for each and every one of us.
Sharing that love is my biggest passion
God bless
